Maintains and oversees the maintenance of Company facilities and grounds including all buildings and Plant property, the block machine, all other machinery and associated equipment to produce a safe and efficient work environment and quality products from raw materials stage to finished product stage, following established policies and procedures, under the direct superivsion of the Plant Superintendent. Must be able to: Understand and implement schematic print reading and ladder logic diagnosis . Detect when products do not meet quality standards and machinery does not meet operational standards and take appropriate action to rectify any unacceptable standards. Detect when condition of buildings and grounds do not meet efficiency and safety standards and take appropriate action to correct. Make major and minor adjustments and repairs to building and grounds and on machinery and associated equipment. Exercise sufficent numerical skills to use a tape measure, check and choose mold sizes, adjust machinery and associated equipment, and calculate maintenance reports. Understand and implement advanced knowledge of electrical wiring, solid state circuitry, hydraulic controls and pneumatics . Learn and know the parts and basic knowledge of assembly of a mold. Know when faulty mold parts are affecting product quality. Know how to repair faulty molds. Learn and know complete Plant operations including, but not limited to, knowing, operating, maintaining, and repairing buildings, facility fixtures, building maintenance and repair equipment, Cuber, Mixing and Batching operations, concrete masonry technology, product handling, equipement and electronic controls and Vibrapac applications very well. Direct, guide and cooperate with others. Exercise high levels of responsibiligy and task orientation. Complete projects on a timely basis. Understand and consistently follow procedures.
